REINSDORF ON WILD FANS: THROW THE BOOK AT 'EM White Sox boss backs proposal for mandatory jail time, big fine for those who run onto field

Vowing not to let his ballpark return to the days when it wasknown as an "outdoor saloon," White Sox Chairman Jerry ReinsdorfTuesday threw his support behind a proposed state law that carries afine of up to $2,000 and mandatory jail time for fans who run onto abaseball field or other sports arena.

Reinsdorf said a legal remedy was needed to support other securitymeasures the White Sox have taken. He said state Sen. Mattie Hunter(D-Chicago) asked for his support on her bill she plans to introducein the Legislature next week.
